themadmaiden: (I see you)
How do you celebrate Independence Day in your country?

....that's a very good question.

You see, all nations of the world of course celebrate America's Independence Day. Because of course, everyone knows that everyone in the world celebrates the some holidays as the Americans. Oh Christmas time in Israel, what fun times they have.

Now, here in Canada we celebrate the American Independence day by dressing in red and weeping for extended periods of time. This is to signify our link to the former British Empire. Which we were still a part of at the time.

After that we go to the border and throw snowballs at all the Americans who try to cross. This is our way of remembering the Invasion of Canada in 1775, when you lovely people tried to take our land as well. Ahaha, weren't those good times.

And then finally. We create elaborate models of the white house that we then burn while singing French-Canadian battle hymms.. It really is a stirring sight.

I'm that girl with the glasses saying, there's no such thing as a stupid question until you ask it."

[In all seriousness, really? Worst worded question ever. And for the record I didn't do much for Canada day. Hung out with parents and went out for supper.]

[Error: unknown template qotd]Very poorly.

I tend to get flustered. A lot.
And my tremor gets worse. A lot worse. Like I can't even function if I get too nervous worse.

[Error: unknown template qotd]I think what would do me in is my tendency to break out in song at the drop of the hat. That would be harder to break. Oh and my job and school would affect talking. However I could go a while without talking to anyone.

If I was to have another name...hmm. That's an interesting question. Katrina Lore is the name I sometimes use online. So I'll go with that.

Katrina Lore...I like that.

[Error: unknown template qotd]Wait so I'll be caught no matter what? Well in that case, how to escape custody and get a fake identity.

If I have a chance to get away then I would like to know...is there really a giant government conspiracy...or something about zombies. Those buggers are coming I know it!

Okay. well I would have to say Adrian Monk. He's like the Sherlock Holmes of this era. If it hapened in a small town though, I'd like Miss. Marple. She always knows what to do.
So Monk or Marple. With those two, I'd be fine.

[Error: unknown template qotd]The Headless Horseman.

I was terrified of this guy. I have no idea why I was. I'm rather fond of the fellow now. But when I was little this petrified me. I was forced to watch the movie at school. Also I had to watch the even scarier Disney cartoon version. Why is the Disney version scarier? I don't know. Either way. The Headless Horseman was my childhood terror.

I'm sure somewhere there's a school I'd like to go to. But at the moment I can't think of one.

[Error: unknown template qotd]Goodness that is a tough one. Out of all the superpowers I think I would like the ability to create illusions. That way if I was bored I could create scenes from books and movies. It would also be good because I'm a writer so I could make characters with my powers and then write about them.  Also if I ever turned evil...I would use my illusions to cause everyone to see their fears and call myself Phobia. Bwahaha...I mean hypothetically of course....

[Error: unknown template qotd]Well first of all it was Hell on earth. And I hated running the track. It was outside and it was gravel and it went up and downhill. It was not fun! Also we would do it in any weather so people regularly got injured falling. And it was freezing. Oh and fitness tests I HATED those so much it wasn't funny. I still get a nausous feeling everytime I think of them .  Just jr high gym in general was horrible. I still think  the gym teacher was a sadist.

I liked the games we played in elementry school like kick the can, capture the flag, soccar baseball and ghostbusters tag. Oh and even in high school I was awesome at dodgeball! If there was one thing I could do in sports was avoid things. In fact in many sports I perfected the art of looking like I was playing but really just avoiding the puck/ball/whatever.

Wow gym class....that brings back so many horrible horrible memories, Thank goodness I don't have to take it anymore.

[Error: unknown template qotd]I think it's clear who I would like to be...Alice! From Alice in Wonderland. I mean really, it would complete and utter nonsense but I think I would like that. It would be so neat to see Wonderland and the Looking Glass World.

If I couldn't be Alice though I would be Dorthey from the Oz books as she is another one of my favorites.

But really it would be Alice first of all.....Wonderland for the Win!!!

[Error: unknown template qotd]Sorry I don't have a picture, but this year I'm dressing up as the Mad Hatter. :) I won a costume contest too with a group of friends who were other Wonderlandians. It was awesome. :)

[Error: unknown template qotd]I don't watch very many scary movies but of all the ones I have watched I'd have to say that my favorite scary movie is Polterguiest. Not only was it entertaining it was scary. That clown doll and the tree, freaked me out and when the bodies where poping out of the ground at the end. That was disturbing on so many levels. I'd like to watch that movie again, in fact I wouldn't mind owning it. The little girl was so good in it. "They're....here..." is a very creepy line no matter how many times it has been parioded.
